At our core, we’re a company that believes we can always create a better way. General Purpose of Job:   The Premedia Leader is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the department. They are responsible for ensuring that projects meet client expectations, as well as leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The leader facilitates the use of new engineering tools, change management, technical and safety training to help the business unit reach its desired future state. Key Responsibilities:  * Participate in meetings to identify barriers and waste in the process, as well as to verify safe practices. * Identify and eliminate existing barriers, as well as create standard protocols to maintain them. * Facilitate the development of standard results to the team. * Manage existing changes. * Promote the development of work strategies and support leaders through Project Management tools. * Identify the need for changes through team meetings and War Rooms. * Constantly verify customer needs and, as a liaison, communicate them to the continuous improvement team. * Lead the on-site team. * Do “the right thing” for employees, the company, and the community. * Know internal policies and have the ability to lead a group of leaders and drivers. * Possess the company’s vision and define strategy, tactics, and leadership for the business unit and complement the role to fulfill the vision. * Possess and practice emotional stability in order to identify and control your own emotions, as well as help guide the emotions of others. * Set clear goals, projects, tactics, and delivery times. * Have the ability to anticipate problems, assess the situation, create a counter-move, and communicate changes. * Clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each team member. * Assess team needs and design, develop, implement, and evaluate applicable programs. * Establish and communicate production schedules for the release of prepress electronic files, as well as monitor and ensure the team meets the established deadlines. * Provide direction, professional leadership, and training to the assigned team to promote high performance and a follow-up plan to ensure on-time delivery to both internal and external clients. Job Requirements: Education: * Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field (completed or in progress). Experience:  * Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position or similar. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Advanced conversational English * Knowledge of editorial design processes. * Team management and implementation of improvement processes and strategies. * Organized and able to prioritize activities. * Solution- and goal-oriented. * Knowledge of the Adobe Suite. * Effective communication. * Emotional intelligence. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Ability to make decisions. * Open to change. * Accustomed to working under pressure.   #LI-BB1 Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $105,000 - $125,000, based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.  We offer excellent benefits to eligible employees, including 401(k), holidays, vacations and more.   Quad is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
