Premedical Studies Graduate Certificate Program Coordinator - Department of Physiology Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Premedical Studies Graduate Certificate Program Coordinator - Department of Physiology at its Detroit campus location. Essential functions (job duties): Perform administrative duties required for program success. Assists in the development of program materials and marketing efforts; monitor assigned budgets and oversee the collection, compiling and entering of data generated from needs assessment and program evaluations at the regional centers. Complete administrative paperwork and processes assigned, including curriculum forms, new hire paperwork, and contracts. Complete room reservations and event support as needed. Oversee the Premedical Studies programmatic activities to ensure that the program goals and objectives are met. Arrange for meetings and events and interviews including contacting participants, students, etc. Assist the Academic Director with project activities, maintenance of records and policies. Participate in program initiatives; develop and implement activities required for meetings and events. Interface with administrative personnel in determining program resource utilization, equipment and service capabilities, and policy and procedural changes. This classification level is designed to provide key staff assistance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the premedical studies graduate certificate program. Work activities include various administrative services which may involve coordinating personnel, budgetary and operational activities. The major challenge of this position is to meet the overall mission and goals of the This classification reports to and receives work direction from a management level position. Prepare and develop detailed statistical and administrative report regarding programs. Assist the regional center program coordinators with maintenance of the program database, including health professional student tracking after graduation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Unique duties: Coordinate program activities for the Premedical Studies Graduate Certificate Program. Serve as a liaison for incoming students and interview committee. Assist with marketing and communication efforts and perform financial activities in support of the program. This position will report to the Associate Professor, Pharmacology. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ­ Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience ­ Some program / project management experience preferred ­ Some knowledge of university policies and procedures preferred ­ Ability to communicate effectively with others ­ Strong oral and/or written communication skills ­ Strong analytic and problem-solving skills ­ Ability to work independently and without formal instruction ­ Previous experience with non-profit programmatic activities is desirable, particularly community activities in public schools, general health care, and/or community (physical or mental) health organizations ExperienceL Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience) ­ Two years’ experience working in a medical education environment preferred. ­ Experience in the operational activities of GME office environments including computing technology, recruitment, and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) regulations. ­ Experience in leading projects preferred. - Expertise in use of Qualtrics, Excel, Canvas, New Innovations, and Maxient platforms. - Ability to work with third party communication platforms for distribution of material. Organize, plan, and communicate new initiatives. - Understanding of and willingness to develop skills and expertise in the employment of artificial intelligence (AI) in the clerkship curriculum and use in curricular affairs tasks and missions. - Ability to communicate with multiple clinicians, faculty, coordinators, directors, and the many hospital settings used for our core clerkships. - Ability to draft, develop and actively manage projects for curricular maintenance and improvement.
