Job Description
As a Prep Cook at Fairmont, you will play a key role in preparing ingredients, ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly, and assisting in the creation of dishes under the guidance of the culinary team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for performing a variety of food preparation tasks, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and supporting the execution of high-quality meals for guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and a strong work ethic.

Rate of Pay: $19.14/hour

Qualifications

• High School diploma an asset
• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen an asset
• Previous H&S & WHMIS an asse

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning produce, meats, and other food items. Delivering food items for functions to various areas in the hotel.
• Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and prevent contamination
• Other reasonable duties as assigned
