Primary responsibilities include: Cuts, weighs, or measures ingredients according to provided instructions. Prepares meat, seafood, and poultry for cooking by cutting or grinding, as instructed. Prepares vegetables to be used as condiments. Combines salad ingredients. Arranges prepared food on serving trays or in designated area for retrieval by serving staff. Prevents the spoilage of ingredients through proper storage in designated containers and in designated areas. Monitors the temperature of food and food storage areas. Maintains and cleans salad bars and buffets. Ensures tables are adequately stocked. Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains cleanliness of work areas, surfaces, utensils, equipment, and dishes. Adheres to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen and restaurant. Performs other related duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Skills Strong multi-tasking skills. Team player. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Prior completion of food safety coursework preferred. Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
