Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients and assisting with the initial stages of meal preparation. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as per recipes and standards - Assist in setting up stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and organized workspace - Support the kitchen team during food preparation and cooking processes - Ensure all food items are prepared according to quality standards and presentation guidelines - Maintain inventory levels and communicate shortages to the supervisor - Assist with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and work areas Skills and Qualifications: - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team - Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed - Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks This position would primarily work 9am-1pm 3-5 days per week, depending on the needs of the restaurant. Pay is $10-$14/hour depending on previous experience. This is an entry level position to support our team. The primary job expectation would be ensuring all prep is complete, according to the prep guide. Additional training as a line cook will be necessary to help during the busier times.
