Job Summary A Prep Cook assists the kitchen team by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace to ensure efficient food service. Responsibilities include washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients, preparing basic food items, stocking kitchen stations, and following recipes and food safety guidelines. Prep cooks support chefs and line cooks by completing food preparation tasks before and during service, helping the kitchen run smoothly and efficiently. This is a Full-time position to include a full benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-term & Long-term disability and Paid Time off Work Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 8:00AM - 4:00PM Pay Rate - Starts at $16.00 Per hour Responsibilities Washing and cutting ingredients (vegetables, fruits, meats) Measuring and portioning ingredients for recipes Preparing basic items like sauces, dressings, soups, or marinades Stocking kitchen stations with ingredients and supplies Labeling and storing food properly Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or Equivalent Must be eligible to work in the United States Food safety knowledge Knife skills Speed and organization Ability to follow recipes Regular and predictable attendance Able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance
