Lewis Pies are a family owned company who have been making pastries, breads and cakes since 1936. We have an exciting opportunity for Food Production Prep & Cook Operative to join our team in the preparation area preparing fillings. Hours of work are approximately 40 hours per week with a start time of 7am.

Responsibilities of our Prep and Cook operators are:-

• Reading and following recipes precisely and maintaining consistency
• Keeping the work-in-progress and ingredients refrigerator clean and organized
• Following storage and rotation procedures
• Using the equipment properly whilst following health & safety guidelines.
• Following proper sanitation procedures and keeping area organised at all times
• Ensure the agreed specifications are adhered to and any deviations must be identified and rectified
• You will need to follow the traceability process and labelling and bring ideas forward to minimise waste in any way possible
• Enter manufacturing records on a PC in an accruate and timely manner
• Excellent communication skills to maintain steady flow of production and ensure all areas have fillings to meet they’re production schedules.

The successful candidate will have to display:

• Following recipes and preparing fillings from scratch.
• Basic PC skills to enable you to be able to enter data onto a webpage.
• Excellent communication skills and be capable of working with a team.
• The ability to work to timescales and deadlines as well as achieving high quality standards.
• Physical skills including movement, co-ordination and dexterity.
