Description Job Summary: The Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, organizing stations, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure smooth service for both restaurant dining and special events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare ingredients (washing, chopping, portioning) according to recipes and prep lists • Set up and stock kitchen stations before service • Label, date, and store food properly following health and safety standards • Assist with assembling basic dishes and garnishes as directed by chefs • Maintain cleanliness of prep areas, equipment, and tools • Help with dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and general kitchen upkeep • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols Additional Responsibilities: • Assist during banquets or events with plating, buffet prep, or breakdown • Perform other duties as required or requested by management to support our operations Requirements Physical Requirements: • Able to stand for long shifts and work in hot kitchen environments • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds • Comfortable using knives, slicers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment • Move quickly and efficiently in tight, fast-paced spaces Qualifications: • Previous kitchen experience preferred, especially in prep or line cooking • Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety (training provided) • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions • Positive, team-oriented attitude • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
