About the role Schedule: Monday - Friday // 7am - 3pm Sifted is building out a brand new, dynamic corporate catering space in Bellevue, and needs a highly motivated Prep Cook / Server to help launch in the Spring of this year. This position is a hybrid role expected to fill in on one or multiple positions daily reporting to the to the Lead Host or Lead Line Cook on the Breakfast, Hot Hands, Wrap Culture or Rotating Plate concepts. The Prep Cook/ Server position will be expected to be comfortable in working in one or multiple stations as needed and are expected to be flexible as needs may change daily and will be expected to pivot as directed by their Lead, Executive Chef or Account Manager. They need to be comfortable working in the kitchen as well as engaging with guests daily. This Monday- Friday role would be perfect for a Prep Cook or Line Cook with one to two years experience looking for an exciting opportunity to join a company that is growing rapidly and looking for people with a passion to cook great food, work with a great team and offer great hospitality to our clients each and every day. What you'll be doing Working on one or multiple stations daily, following directions from Lead Host or Lead Line Cook for that station. Ensure all labeling and organization pans and delis, and discarding out of date product from common storage areas Execute strict quality control and assurance, act as Sanitation and Safety and Safety Champion in the BLV kitchen. Assist with daily deep-clean items, comply with and enforce sanitary regulations and safety standards Assist the Executive Chef in facilitating discussions and answering questions about production, packout, and clean-up Assist the Executive Chef with the development and augmentation of systems in place Our ideal candidate 1-2 years of relative experience in full service, moderate to high volume restaurant, club or catering establishment. Comfortable interacting with guests potentially serving, answering questions, identifying potential allergies upon request. Ability to do repetitive motions daily in regards to prepping, serving guests, daily cleaning Lead by example in all aspects of the business (production/attitude/cleaning/punctuality) Lead by example in regards to safety and sanitation standards set by the local Health Department Ability to work efficiently in order to maximize team output and minimize overall labor hours Ability to maintain a calm and collected demeanor Ability to understand and communicate in written + spoken English Perks + benefits Compensation : $24 per hour Company-sponsored health insurance plans, including 100% company-paid HDHP, as well as vision + dental opt-in 401(k) program available after six months of employment 24 hours of PTO with each year of employment Free lunch during meal service Opportunities to take on larger roles within our organization + learn with a fast-growing start-up Eligibility : This position must maintain a Washington State Food Handlers Card Work environment : This position is based in a commercial kitchen Physical requirements : This position requires standing for up to 6 hours at a time and moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
