We are currently looking for a Cook for Dogwood Terrace by Barclay House Primary Responsibilities of the Cook: Assist with food preparation as assigned and work as part of the Food Services team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the kitchen. Assist in the setup of serving carts for each meal and help serve meals to residents' tables and deliver to residents' rooms when necessary. Assist with putting away deliveries, set dining tables for meals, perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Prep, plan and cook meals according to established menus. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals related to family gatherings, private dining, Marketing events and special activities. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and accomplished a reasonable amount of work within established timeframes. Ensures that kitchen is on schedule, pre-plating cold foods, prepping for upcoming services, prepping for ala carte menu. Demonstrates a commitment to excellence in food quality and service quality Maintains or exceeds standards of a kitchen environment that promotes teamwork, safety, proper hygiene and cleanliness Stock supplies as needed Willingness to work in a senior living environment and prepare food which meets or exceeds hospitality and service standards. Requirements Education/Experience Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Trade School/Associate 2 years of related culinary experience Self-motivation and creativity in culinary experience a plus Good knife skills and familiar with all cooking methods Must have reliable transportation Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including holiday and weekends Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
Responsibilities
