Job Summary The Prep Cook plays a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and ensuring all components are ready for service. This position focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prep Cooks work closely with line cooks and chefs to keep the kitchen organized and running smoothly. Responsibilities · Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients according to recipes and standards. · Prepare basic sauces, dressings, and other components as directed. · Label, date, and store food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste. · Maintain a clean and organized prep station and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness. · Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. · Assist with receiving and storing deliveries. · Communicate effectively with kitchen team to ensure timely preparation. Qualifications · Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required. · Basic knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. · Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb, and reach overhead. · Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. · Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
