The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing food items for cooking, assembling dishes for cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare food items for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating meats Assemble dishes for cooking, such as measuring and mixing ingredients Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the Head Chef Maintain a clean and organized work environment Restock ingredients and supplies as needed Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely and efficient service Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Requirements Requirements: Experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a scratch kitchen Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent Reliable and punctual Preferred Skills: Culinary degree or diploma Experience in a brunch restaurant or similar setting Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Toast Perks 40 hours of sick time each year Paid Time Off after 1 year of full-time employment Time and a half on designated holidays Health and dental benefits for full-time team members Other supplementary benefits available 401k plan options with Employer Match Flexible Schedule Employee Discounts and Meals Referral Program Working Conditions Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
