We invite you to discover "Life As It Should Be". We are seeking a Part-Time Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and properly handling kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food and cleanliness. This is a part-time position. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation Prepare, cook, and present food according to recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines Monitor food quality, consistency, and portioning throughout service Maintain prep levels and ensure timely service Follow allergen procedures and prevent cross-contamination Communicate effectively with team members on orders and timing Kitchen Operations & Sanitation Set up, clean, and maintain workstations and equipment Follow proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control procedures Receive and manage inventory; report low stock and minimize waste Complete opening/closing duties and follow operational checklists Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Professionalism & Compliance Maintain professional appearance and safe work practices Follow all food safety regulations (ServSafe, health department, etc.) Report safety issues or equipment concerns promptly Participate in trainings and team meetings Requirements Minimum 1 year of food service experience (required). ? Culinary certification (preferred). ? Serve Safe Certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment (required). High school diploma (preferred). ? Must be 18 years or older (required). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong understanding of food prep, safety, and kitchen operations. ? Ability to follow procedures, safety rules, and health regulations. ? Excellent communication; team-oriented and adaptable. ? Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather.?
