As a Prep Cook, you'll be responsible for preparing food items with precision and efficiency according to our unique recipe specifications. You'll work in a dynamic team, ensuring a safe and clean workspace while delivering high-quality products to the kitchen in a timely manner. This position requires early morning availability. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Duties & Responsibilities Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients Fulfill orders accurately as dictated by par sheets Strictly follow recipes and take personal pride in every item delivered for service Able to safely use and operate kitchen machinery Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant Complete all opening, closing, and side duties Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect Requirements Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers Card. Kitchen experience is preferred but not required. Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions Lift and carry 30+ lbs Work in fluctuating temperature environments Read recipes and convert units of measure Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina Self-motivation and the ability to accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology, methodology, and knife skills We love great benefits, and you should too!
