The Prep Cook role is to support the successful operation of the Q39 kitchen by preparing ingredients, recipes, and station essentials to company standards. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for service while upholding food safety and cleanliness. Contribute to a smooth kitchen flow and a collaborative, team-driven environment. Key Accountabilities: Ingredient Preparation – Wash, chop, portion, and label ingredients accurately to meet recipe and service standards. Recipe Consistency – Follow Q39 recipes and prep sheets to ensure quality, portion control, and flavor accuracy. Station Readiness – Stock, organize, and maintain prep areas to ensure smooth service transitions. Food Safety – Practice proper storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation in line with health and safety guidelines. Team Support – Assist line cooks and kitchen staff by replenishing items and completing prep tasks quickly and efficiently. Clean & Organized Work – Maintain a tidy station, sanitize tools and surfaces, and follow closing procedures. Efficiency & Accuracy – Complete prep tasks within assigned timelines while minimizing waste. Collaboration – Work closely with BOH teammates to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and service goals are met. QualificationsRequirements: Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience in a full-service or high-volume environment preferred. Strong knife skills and ability to follow prep lists and recipes accurately. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a positive, professional attitude. Willingness to learn, take direction, and support multiple kitchen stations.
