About the Candidate*
Are you passionate about empowering young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to thrive as they transition into adulthood? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Preparation for Adulthood (SEND) Tutor to join our supportive team at our beautiful land-based campus. As a changemaker in this role you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of of our students.
As a key member of our inclusive education team, you will deliver high-quality, tailored Preparation for Adulthood sessions for learners aged 16–18 with a range of SEND. Working in a calm, outdoor-focused environment, you’ll support students in developing key life skills, independence, and confidence, while also providing vital pastoral care and emotional support.
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrate courage to take the initiative to deliver learning in a dynamic SEND programme supporting students with a range of needs, while fostering their connection and interest in the land-based sector.

About the Role*
As a key part of the role, you will provide assertive and proactive personal support to students, helping to ensure high levels of attendance, punctuality, retention, and academic progress—particularly in core areas such as English and maths. You’ll work closely with teaching teams, support staff, parents, and students themselves to create a supportive environment where every learner can flourish and achieve their personal goals. With responsibility for a specific caseload, you will coach students individually and in groups, setting meaningful targets, implementing timely interventions, and using tools such as eILP (ProMonitor) to track and monitor progress. A core focus will be on identifying and supporting “At Risk” students and closing achievement gaps, actively contributing to positive progression into further education, training, or employment.
