Description The purpose of the Prepared Foods Team Member I is to assist leaders in the Prepared Foods Department in creating a great customer experience through food production, stocking, customer services and store maintenance. To ensure a clean, growing, and well-maintained department with exceptional quality. Assist in production, pack out and providing an irresistible store experience for customers. Essential Responsibilities and Functions Follow food recipes as written Ensure prepared foods meet recipe standards of quality, consistency, look and taste Pack-out, label and stock product to standard Ensure all food stations are clean, stocked, full fresh and delicious at all times Participate in periodic department inventories Package, weigh, and price product Physical Job Requirements Ability to stand for long lengths of time, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach and climb stairs or ladders throughout the work day Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers and co-workers Requirements Qualifications Familiarity with natural foods, vegan and vegetarian cuisine as well as organic vs commercial growing practices Available to work weekends, holidays, mornings and nights Regular, predicable attendance Projects an outgoing, friendly personality Ability to read and comprehend instructions Skills Ability to read and follow a recipe Ability to Operate kitchen equipment (i.e. mixers, commercial ovens, dishwasher) Excellent verbal and written communication Excellent problem solving and multitasking skills Preferred Experience Min. 1 year kitchen experience preferred The Lexington Co-op is committed to equal opportunity for all, without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, citizenship, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
