HRM Search Partners has partnered with a fast-growing Dublin-headquartered IoT business, to retain an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer 6 month contract basis.

The Role

In this hands-on, client-facing role, you will bridge the gap between commercial strategy and complex technical delivery. You will lead technical discovery, solution design, and architectural proposals for key enterprise and mid-market sales opportunities.Working side-by-side with Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams, you will turn complex customer requirements into seamless, pragmatic implementations using their platform and API ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Discovery: Lead technical scoping with prospective enterprise clients to uncover integration requirements, technical environments, and business goals.
Solution Architecture & Design: Architect tailored solution proposals, API integration models, and data flow frameworks on top of the platform.
Commercial Alignment: Partner closely with Sales and Account Management throughout the sales cycle to demonstrate technical feasibility and value.
Demonstrations & PoCs: Deliver high-impact technical presentations, live product demos, architectural walkthroughs, and Proofs-of-Concept.
Risk & Feasibility Management: Early identification of integration risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints in collaboration with Product and Engineering.
Onboarding & Enablement: Support complex technical configurations and build reusable technical documentation, integration guides, and best-practice assets.
Voice of the Customer: Feedback client requirements and technical edge cases directly into internal Product and Engineering roadmaps.

What You'll Bring

6+ Years Experience in Solutions Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, within SaaS or high-growth technology environments.
Strong API & SaaS Architecture Knowledge: Broad understanding of modern cloud architectures, API protocols, webhooks, data pipelines, and third-party integrations.
Client-Facing Presence: Proven ability to run technical workshops and articulate complex engineering concepts to C-suite executives, product managers, and developers alike.
Commercial & Pragmatic Mindset: Comfortable balancing technical rigor with commercial outcomes to help close deals and accelerate onboarding.
Fast-Paced Autonomy: Ability to hit the ground running immediately with minimal oversight.
Bonus / Nice-to-Have: Background in IoT, hardware integration, embedded systems, or connected consumer products.
