Overview:
Quest Software is seeking an experienced presales engineer with proven experience in solutions supporting migrations, security and management of Microsoft technologies. You will be working with our sales team to support our direct and indirect sales across Australian and New Zealand markets.
The Quest solution portfolio spans the migration, security and management of on-premises and cloud Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Entra ID, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and many more. Our products help customers to reduce risk and deliver successful business outcomes.
As a Presales Solution Consultant, your thorough understanding of the broader Microsoft eco system with specific knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Office 365, Teams and SharePoint coupled with your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively articulate the value of Quest solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will work with the sales team to deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations, which differentiate Quest solutions from its competitors. In this role, you will also own the technical portions of RFI / RFP responses, leveraging your experience in this space.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the sales process and work closely with the direct and channel sales teams to discover customer technical requirements and map these to Quest solutions
  • Present the solution value and competitive differences of Quest solutions that align with customer requirements
  • Building demonstration environments tailored to partner and customer requirements as proof of concept during the sales lifecycle to showcase Quest solutions and how they help customers meet their business outcomes and objectives both remotely and on-site
  • Participate in responding to RFI/RFPs to articulate the technical and business value return of Quest solutions
  • Own the technical relationship with new and existing customers and partners
  • Building technical relationships with customers and partners to position yourself as a trusted technical advisor on Quest solutions
  • Position yourself as the customer advocate and liaison with internal Quest stakeholders
  • Provide feedback to Product Management on product enhancements
  • Travel is anticipated to be approximately 30% of time
  • Location can be either Sydney or Melboure

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales technical role in an enterprise software company
  • Experience in consulting delivery roles related to Microsoft solutions will be highly considered
  • Experience within FSI, insurance, healthcare or utilities sectors with a thorough understanding of related business processes and common Microsoft platform challenges in these industry verticals
  • Experience in complex Active Directory and Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations
  • Hands on experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, Office 365, Teams and SharePoint
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communications skills
  • A working knowledge of technical infrastructure including application servers, databases, virtualisation and directories is required
