We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive preschool administrator & receptionist with good interpersonal skills and high standards to join our team. You will work independently under general direction, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes.
Watoto Preschool is a nurturing and dynamic early years and childcare setting dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young children. We are committed to providing high-quality early education / childcare and creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space for all children. We are a registered charity established in in 1996 by local women, who aimed to provide high quality early education and childcare for each individual child, to support parent carers access employment and training opportunities.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES

GCSE 5+ and above
At least 2 years’ experience of working in a busy office environment.
Excellent ICT skills are an essential requirement.
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Excellent organisational skills and ability manage work load.
Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
Able to use initiative and creativity.
Desirable:
Previous experience working with a management system is desirable but full training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of the early year’s framework
Knowledge of safeguarding practices and relevant training

Responsibilities

You will work alongside management and liaise with the committee’s operational lead to ensure that all the preschool administration runs smoothly and is kept up to date and in line with current policies, procedures and operational framework.
You will:
Work on our digital management system: Connect Childcare / ICONNECT. The role includes maintaining system ensuring information is correct and imputed in a timely manner to ensure correct invoicing. Daily updates to add to the system, enquiries; new starters, leavers, changes in childcare hours and lunch / snacks, assist with occupancy monitoring and much more.
