Full Time The Preschool Assistant Teacher will contribute to the mission of the Jewish Community Center through education of children ages 3-5 by promoting their social, physical and intellectual growth with standards of excellence. This position would be assigned to one classroom group, but is subject to change. Essential Functions: Coordinate with Lead Teacher and administration to maintain a structured environment with planned activities while promoting positive social behaviors in the classroom and outside Assist with arrival and drop off greeting families, helping students remove outerwear, and recording attendance. Provide positive and detailed communication to parents/guardians picking up the students each day Observe students to ensure safety according to ODJFS licensure guidelines Maintain a sanitary classroom environment by sanitizing and cleaning dishes, toys, and clothing Communicate and cooperate with colleagues and families as part of the Early Learning team, including attending staff meetings as needed Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisors Benefits include: Free membership at the JCC/Logan Swim Club (full-time employee) Discounted daycare and summer camp rates at the JCC Discounted rates on programming Excellent healthcare, benefits, and 403b PTO Competitive rates Requirements High School diploma (required) Early Childhood Education: 1 year (preferred)
