This position is 10-months out of the year with early June - early August off.
JOB SUMMARY: This position assists teaching staff in implementation and active supervision of all classroom and outside activities. This position is responsible for helping maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

1. Assist teaching staff with active supervision of children throughout the day in the classroom and during outdoor activities.
2. Assist with implementation of daily lesson plans and help prepare and maintain classroom environment for daily activities in compliance with curriculum requirements.
3. Maintain a sanitary and safe environment for children by regularly Sanitizing (with chemicals), organizing, rearranging the environment, laundry and sweeping.
4. Provide a supportive and relaxed climate at mealtime and model and encourage good nutrition and proper social skills.
5. Provide a positive and consistent climate that supports learning and development.
6. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalency. Formal training in early care and education and experience working with preschool children in an educational setting preferred; combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
