Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local childcare regulations (including HHSC/DFPS). Promote enrollment through strategic marketing, community engagement, and strong parent relationships. Maintain accurate records (attendance, health, registration, development, etc.). Develop and implement center policies and procedures. Oversee budget management, cost estimates, and financial reporting. Monitor tuition collection, fee tracking, and financial performance. Order and manage school supplies and equipment. Support teachers in developing and delivering quality curriculum and programming. Plan field trips and special events for children, staff, and families. Lead staff hiring, onboarding, development, and performance evaluations. Manage staff schedules, timecards, and labor costs in compliance with state standards. Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and school action plans. Maintain food program compliance, including training, audits, and documentation. Conduct regular family communication and parent-teacher conferences. Submit required reports to HHSC and other regulatory agencies. Report any signs of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Foster a culture of kindness, respect, and professionalism across all relationships. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Must meet minimum education and experience requirements as set by HHSC/DFPS Ability to pass background checks and meet medical requirements for caregivers Maintain current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED If transporting children, must hold a valid Class C driver’s license and complete annual transportation training Preferred Qualifications Prior early childhood teaching experience Experience in a leadership or management role in a licensed childcare setting Ready to Lead With Purpose?
