  Job Title: Preschool Early Intervention Classroom Special Education Teacher   Position Summary:  This position is responsible for the provision of special education services to eligible preschool-aged children in the preschool special education classroom.  This position conducts screenings and formal developmental evaluations for 3- to 5-year-old children to determine eligibility for preschool early intervention services and is responsible for the development and implementation of special education documents. The Special Education Teacher is knowledgeable of developmentally appropriate practices and effectively communicating and delivering specially designed instruction as per OCDEL service delivery model in specialized and community settings such as preschool, childcare, or home.   Duties and Responsibilities:   1. Embeds specially designed instruction and differentiates instruction through small and large group activities to align with the students’ individual IEP outcomes and support student progress.    2. Manages the classroom environment by providing leadership and guidance to paraprofessionals to ensure positive student outcomes.    3. Participates in the identification of eligible young children by administering screenings and assessments, and completing Evaluation Report and IEP Development to ensure compliance with Child Find mandate.   4. Maintains compliance of required special education paperwork by completing reevaluation reports, IEP development and data collection and other supporting documentation to ensure progress on student outcomes and compliance with local, state and federal regulations.    5. Remains current with new and effective practices, program procedures, laws and regulations by attending professional development to comply with Preschool Early Intervention program requirements.     6. Represents and promotes the AIU and Preschool Early Intervention by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships that effectively support families and advance student outcomes.    Qualifications:   1. Valid PA certification in Special Education PK-8 required 2. Valid PA certification in Early Childhood PK-4 preferred 3. Experience working with the preschool population in Early Childhood Environments preferred 4. Effective verbal and written communication skills 5. Ability to build trust and positive working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholder groups 6. Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, while remaining logical and interpersonal 7. Excellent collaboration and leadership skills 8. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure 9. Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative, and responsible 10. Ability to travel throughout the County required 11. Ability to comply with the AIU Conduct policy   Additional Requirements:  1. Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date). 2.
