B’nai Israel Community Day School, a well-established, play-based preschool in Gainesville, FL, is seeking a creative, nurturing, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our teaching team in the three-year-old classroom.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Congregation B’nai Israel in Gainesville, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, guiding their early development and fostering a love for learning.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor’s preferred)
• At least 2 years of classroom experience with young children
• A strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practice
• Warm, communicative, and flexible teaching style

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children’s growth and development.
• Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori principles, to engage diverse learners.
• Assess children’s progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
