SCA Academy is a Christian preschool located in Greenville, SC, dedicated to providing an accelerated learning environment that emphasizes Christian values and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is to create age-appropriate settings where children can learn, play, and explore under the guidance of experienced teachers who understand the unique ways children learn.
We are currently seeking a 5k teacher for the upcoming school year. This classroom is a transition to elementary school. We are a year-round school. The position is 8-5 M-F. We are seeking a loving teacher that can offer an excellent educational experience in a loving Christ-centered environment.

Requirements:

• Love for the Lord and ability to communicate that love to students and staff.
• Ability to prioritize children’s needs over tasks.
• Create a fun environment that fosters a love of learning.
• Knowledge of Bible stories and ability to teach the Bible and Bible verses to children.
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a preschool classroom
• Understanding of phonics
• Experience with the Abeka curriculum is necessary.
• Lesson planning experience
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the day.
• Maintain class records on student progress.
• Maintain clean and organized classrooms.
• Comfortable with computers and smartboards
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents.
• Maintaining all required DSS training requirements.
