Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, including children with diverse abilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and inclusion. What You’ll Do As a Preschool Teacher, you’ll play a key role in nurturing each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Key responsibilities include: Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum, including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements Our classrooms are staffed based on children’s needs, not just minimum ratios, allowing you to focus on quality care, strong relationships, and meaningful instruction. Requirements What We’re Looking For Associate Degree in a related field or CDA (Child Development Associate) DCF 45 Clock Hours Required Experience supporting children with disabilities in an educational or childcare setting Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record Ability to meet physical demands of the role (standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., active supervision) Ideal Candidate Qualities: A genuine passion for working with children and families Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to inclusion Knowledge of developmental delays and disabilities (e.g., ASD, ADHD, sensory needs) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles Schedule Full or Part Time floater; between the hours of 7:30AM and 5:30PM Schedule varies based on classroom placement and business needs On-site position Starting pay up to $21.50 per hour!
