The Role: Meadow Brook School seeks applicants for the position of Preschool Teacher. This position involves teaching in an integrated early childhood classroom in a public school. Qualified candidates must:

• establish and maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment with standards of student behavior that promote positive social and academic experiences
• plan and deliver dynamic and creative lessons that reflect the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of students and that are aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the principles of Universal Design for Learning
• have experience teaching and supporting preschool aged students with varied and sometimes complex needs
• ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications, as needed, to the general education curriculum for students based upon a variety of instructional techniques, approaches and technologies, in accordance with the students Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• have knowledge of state and federal special education laws, regulations and mandates. This position requires the ability to write goals and objectives, complete progress reports and participate in IEP meetings
• collaborate with a wide range of colleagues
• establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians/caregivers
