Position Description: AXIS is seeking a fluent French-speaking Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. This role is flexible for part-time or full-time candidates. The French Preschool Teacher will: Deliver approximately one hour of daily French immersion instruction, introducing children ages 3–5 to the French language through songs, stories, and play-based activities. Support the Preschool Lead Teacher for the remainder of the day by assisting with classroom routines, centers, playtime, transitions, behavior, and student support. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves early childhood education and wants to share the French language in an immersive environment. Position Responsibilities: Create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe classroom for children ages 3–5. Teach entirely in French, using songs, stories, play, and hands-on activities to foster language and development. Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons. Collaborate with other preschool staff to ensure a cohesive and consistent preschool experience. Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and updates. Observe and document student growth to support each child's learning path. Participate in meetings, training, and school events (based on schedule). Requirements Required Qualifications: Fluency in French (Native or near native) Experience working with preschool aged children Passion for early childhood education and language immersion Preferred Qualifications: Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field Familiarity with play-based approaches Willingness to pursue ECE certification if needed.
