JOB SUMMARY:

Vanderbilt Area School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of young children.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certification for early childhood/preschool.
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in early education.
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Develop and deliver an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum.
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom where all children can thrive.
• Guide daily routines including play, instruction, meals, and rest time.
• Assess students’ progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide events.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, safety, and reporting requirements.
