Position
Fern Hill School – Burlington Campus, is seeking a part time RECE for our Preschool Classroom. Hours of the position would be 8am – 1pm.
Position Overview:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the early years and has experience working with young children.
In this role, you will provide nurturing care and education to preschool aged children in a group setting. Each day, you will help children to learn and grow by implementing a daily balance of active/ quiet, indoor/ outdoor, free structured, individual and group activities that will encourage physical, social, intellectual and emotional development at the appropriate level for each child.
As preschool is part of Fern Hill School, this program follows the same school calendar as our JK – Grade 8 students. The successful candidate will be required to work during the months of September – June each year.
The salary for this position with range from $30,000-$56,000. It will be based on number of years of experience working in a childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Early Childhood Education in good standing with the College.
• Candidates must have or be willing to obtain: Current Immunization Record, Current TB test, Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check (within last 6 months) and Food Handlers Certificate.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the interests and needs of preschool-aged children
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulation classroom environment.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ministry of Education guidelines, and all health and safety requirements.
• Participate in team planning, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Experience in a private school is preferred.
