Description

We are currently looking for a Pharmacy/Prescription Administrator to join our Team at our Care Home hub based in Walton Summit Centre, Preston.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Previous pharmacy admin experience essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • IT literate - good/sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Clear telephone voice and able to speak English fluently with effective written communication
  • Works in an organised and systematic manner
  • Finds solutions to problems
  • Copes well under pressure; demonstrates personal resilience

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Answer the telephone and email enquiries in a professional and customer friendly manner
  • Update prescription and customer information when required
  • Create customer folders for each care home
  • Update the weekly flow to prioritise and communicate progress
  • Arrange prescription checklist for care home/unit/residence
  • Order prescriptions in a timely fashion to enable timely processing
  • Communicate with other stations regarding any changes
  • Complete courtesy calls and offer assistance to care homes
  • Log every call made to care homes/units/residences
  • To ensure that prescriptions are put on relevant I.T. system efficiently, quickly and accurately.
  • Undertake detailed checks to ensure all relevant information is listed e.g. date, signature
  • Ensure that FP10s (Prescriptions directly from doctors or hospitals) are all logged onto the system and endorsed
  • Follow up on issues until issue resolved
  • Liaising with, and following instructions from all senior employees
  • Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve overall business objectives
