Description:
MISSION
The CEO of OGS will provide overall strategic leadership and management of the organization and its subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with the mid- and long-term strategies of Asia SBU. The CEO will drive sustainable growth, optimize operations, cultivate new business opportunities (including renewable energy), and maximize the performance of existing investments in Asia. By overseeing both back-office functions and front-line business development, the CEO will secure OGS’s position as a leading entity in its sector and foster a high-performance culture that meets or exceeds stakeholder expectations.

- General Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of business process models, business valuation, and global market dynamics.

- Networking [Advanced Level]: Ability to build and leverage extensive internal and external networks across multiple regions.
- Project Management: Capable of overseeing multiple large-scale projects concurrently.
- English [Advanced Level]: Fluent communication in international business settings; additional Asian languages a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).ž
- Professional Experience:
- Senior Leadership: Proven track record in senior executive role, overseeing both operational and strategic functions across multiple regions.
- Global/Regional Exposure: Experience managing or coordinating overseas operations, including finance, HR, and/or large-scale investment projects.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Demonstrated success in developing and executing mid- to long-term corporate strategies in alignment with broader business unit objectives.
- Organizational Leadership: Experience in building, restructuring, or leading high-performing organizations, with a focus on both back-office optimization and front-line revenue growth.

- Industry Experience: Background in energy, renewable energy, or related industries with direct exposure to mid & downstream and/or CN business.
- Investment & Business Development: Experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing new business investments, joint ventures, or large-scale partnerships in an international context.

Responsibilities:
- Strategy
- Strategic Direction: Define and communicate OGS’s vision, strategic objectives, and performance targets in alignment with Asia SBU’s mid- and long-term strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the EVPs and other senior leaders to formulate integrated business plans, ensuring that financial, operational, and market-oriented perspectives are considered.
- Growth & Innovation: Identify and pursue strategic opportunities—both organically and through M&A or joint ventures—to expand OGS’s presence in mid & downstream and renewable energy markets.
- Operations Managementž
- Holistic Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations across all functions, ensuring effective coordination between back-office (finance, HR, compliance, etc.) and front-line (business development, asset management, sales) teams.
- Performance Monitoring: Set organization-wide KPIs and regularly review performance with each EVP to ensure timely course corrections and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Establish and enforce robust internal controls and risk management frameworks, ensuring full compliance with legal, financial, and corporate governance standards.
- Building Organizational Infrastructurež
- Organizational Design: Shape the company structure and governance to optimize collaboration and resource allocation across all functional areas, including subsidiaries in Asia.
- Culture & Values: Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence. Ensure that all team members uphold the company’s values and ethical standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with key external partners (banks, law firms, audit firms, consulting firms, industry stakeholders) and internal teams (e.g., Headquarters’ ERIBU and Corporate Unit) to facilitate information sharing and strategic alignment.
- Executive Reporting & Corporate Governancež
- Board & Management Meetings: Lead OGS’s management and board meetings, ensuring well-prepared materials, clear decision-making processes, and effective follow-up on action items.
- Headquarters Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with Asia SBU and global headquarters, providing regular updates on financial performance, business expansion, and strategic initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all reporting and operational practices adhere to applicable local and international regulations.
- Organizational Managementž
- Leadership Development: Mentor and guide EVPs, GMs, and other key leaders, fostering their professional growth and succession planning within OGS.
Talent Acquisition & Retention: Collaborate with the EVP Corporate & Planning to develop HR strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent.Performance & Culture: Oversee performance evaluations and establish a reward system that aligns individual goals with organizational objectives, driving high performance and employee engagement.
