Description
This is an opportunity for a nationally recognized physician leader to build and transform one of the region’s leading neurosciences programs—creating an integrated system of care that delivers innovation in care delivery, exceptional patient experiences, and outstanding neurological outcomes.   As the physician leader of the Service Line Triad, the President will partner closely with nursing and administrative leaders to design and lead an evidence-based, seamless system of neurosciences care. This role calls for a builder—someone focused on transforming care models, strengthening clinical programs, and delivering measurable improvements in patient outcomes, rather than pursuing rankings or publications alone. Reporting to the Chief, Clinical Enterprise, the President will shape the strategic direction and clinical excellence of neurosciences services across the system.   Job Responsibilities: * Shape and execute the strategic vision for neurosciences across the system, strengthening core neurology, neurosurgery, stroke, spine, and subspecialty programs while building a coordinated, systemwide continuum of neurological care. * Innovate and redesign care models to improve access, coordination, and outcomes for patients with complex neurological conditions, leveraging multidisciplinary teams and integrated care pathways. * Advance clinical quality and outcomes by establishing systemwide standards, evidence-based protocols, and performance metrics that ensure consistent, high-value neurological care across all sites of care. * Strengthen and expand neurosciences programs by aligning clinical capabilities, technology, and talent to support the development of comprehensive neurological centers of excellence. * Drive market growth and regional leadership by identifying opportunities to expand access to neurosciences services, strengthening the service line brand, and partnering with marketing, care sites, and community stakeholders to achieve strategic growth goals. * Build and lead a high-performing physician and APP community, recruiting and developing top neurosciences talent while fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.   Minimum Requirements: * Board Certification in a specialty of the service line * Licensed (or capable of being licensed) as a Physician in the State of Virginia * 10 years of physician experience * Doctorate degree in Medicine (MD)   Preferred Qualifications:  * Prior experience serving as a Service Line leader, Medical Director, or Physician Executive leading a large neurosciences service line within an integrated health system. * Demonstrated success in service line strategy, program growth, and market expansion, including development of ambulatory networks, centers of excellence, and multidisciplinary neuroscience programs. * Track record of advancing clinical quality, value-based care, and care model innovation within neuroscience service lines.
