Description The President of The Village Companies is tasked with shaping the vision and strategy, driving profitable growth, and ensuring the overall health of The Village, in alignment with our Mission, Vision, and Values. This role includes overseeing the growth and performance of both The Village Companies Leadership Team and the operating companies. The President will take charge of developing and implementing the long-term strategic plan. Duties and Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute comprehensive long-term strategic plans and objectives to enhance profitability and ensure organizational sustainability. Leadership: Lead the executive team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability throughout the organization. Financial Oversight: Manage the company's budget to maintain financial health and sustainability while driving profitability. Operational Management: Collaborate with each operating company to provide guidance on daily operations, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across all Village Companies. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, customers, partners, and shareholders. Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and evaluate the company's progress toward its goals, providing support and accountability to meet shareholder expectations. Risk and Crisis Management: Assess, identify, and mitigate potential risks to the organization, implementing strategies to minimize their impact. Develop and maintain contingency plans to effectively address emergencies and ensure business continuity. Talent Development: Cultivate talent within the organization by supporting employee growth and development initiatives, creating a skilled and motivated workforce that contributes to the organization’s success and adaptability. Communication: Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company, effectively conveying its vision and strategies to both internal and external audiences. Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements while promoting ethical business practices throughout the organization. Decision Making: Make critical decisions that align with the company’s long-term objectives, providing strong leadership during times of crisis. Requirements Education/Training: Education & Experience – A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. Fifteen or more years of experience in business leadership, financial management and people development with a proven track record of developing sustainable and effective teams. Manufacturing experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strategic Leadership Skills – A strong business strategist with demonstrated ability to work as a member of the core leadership team in the creation and implementation of strategy that successfully supports the objectives of the business. Business and Financial Acumen – Possess a strong business acumen with the ability to think holistically beyond functional areas and envision the big picture for the organization. Innovative yet financially driven by solid research and data. Strong project management skills to establish goals, priorities and manage multiple projects with a variety of timelines. Interpersonal and Communication Skills – Highly relational and collaborative with the ability to build effective, credible relationships across all functions and levels of an organization. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to support effective interaction at all levels both internally and externally. Travel Requirements: Typically 2 to 4 travels days per month Physical Requirements: Typical office environment Materials and Equipment Utilized: Computer, printers, etc. Working Environment: 5% Manufacturing: clean, low to moderate noise, safety glasses required and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable. 95% - Office
