JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a proactive, strategic, efficient, and outcome-driven Press and Media Relations Senior Consultant to join Netcompany UK’s high-performing marketing team.

  • Create strong news-led pitches for proactive opportunities and drive the rapid response for reactive campaigns including successfully pre-empting news / trends relevant to Netcompany’s business objectives for news-jacking.
  • Win earned media opportunities across big news outlets as industry-specific publications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and influencers in the tech and IT sectors to ensure positive and consistent coverage of the company.
  • Act as the company’s spokesperson in the UK for media inquiries, ensuring accurate, consistent, and positive representation of the company’s values, goals, and IT consultancy services, working directly with the Global Head of PR in Copenhagen.
  • Proactively manage media inquiries during a crisis, developing timely, clear, and measured statements to protect the company’s reputation in the public eye.
  • Regularly monitor external media coverage, track mentions of the company, and analyse public sentiment, providing insights to senior leadership to inform strategy.
  • Organise and prepare executives and key team members for media interviews, briefings, and public speaking opportunities, ensuring key messages are clearly communicated.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct experience working in the media industry, including newspapers, magazines and broadcast and/or public sector. Bonus to have in-house experience with a publicly exchanged company, but not necessary.
  • Degree in related field, such as but not limited to PR, Journalism, Communications, Media
  • Excellent communicator and influencer. Strong copywriting, clear written and verbal communication and impeccable face-to-face and phone manner are must-haves, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fast-paced problem-solver, work in a fast-paced global team environment.
