Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Press Assistant position in their Villa Rica I facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. Pay: $18.14 - $27.20 per hour depending on experience Plus, an additional $2.50 per hour for the night shift premium. Schedule: Nights - 3/2 rotating schedule working from 7:00pm - 7:00am. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life – after 30 days of employment 401K with company match Hourly Bonus Program – per month and quarter Tuition Reimbursement Annual reviews with a potential for a pay rate increase Up to $120 for safety toed shoes Up to $135 for uniforms Up to $125 for prescription safety glasses Overtime Minimum Requirements HS Diploma or GED 18 years of age or older Ability to accurately read a tape measure Ability to be self-directed and multitask Timeliness Long term objectives to fulfill operator position Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time Internal Candidates: Last performance review was rated “Performer” or higher Has been in current position for more than 120 days No disciplinary actions beyond a written within the past 120 days Job Responsibilities: Prepare raw material rolls for printing Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing Assist in removing rolls from rewind Remove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of job Fill and maintain viscosity of all inks Change Doctor Blades and over fill pans Daily housekeeping Remove and weigh waste from unwind Remove and weigh waste from rewind Empty refuse containers Make waste bales when baler is full Assist operator in any way for efficient operation Assist operator in monitoring quality Prepare Pre-Set up of sleeves, mandrels, anilox, and inks EOE F/M/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity/Disabled/Vet Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer. Responsibilities
The Press Assistant will prepare raw material rolls for printing and assist in the operation of the printing press. Responsibilities include maintaining ink viscosity, changing doctor blades, and ensuring efficient operation.
