JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a prestigious team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to work with various materials and tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong skills in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming is preferred.
  • Experience with plasma cutting, laser cutting, lathe operation, and the use of hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols in the workplace.
  • Physically fit to lift over 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience operating a Press Brake
  • Crane and Rigging and Forklift Certificates are assets
  • CSTS, WHIMS, Fall Protection and Confined Spaces Certificates required

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machines for bending and shaping metal parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools, CNC machinery, plasma cutting, and laser cutting techniques as required.
  • Assemble and fabricate components according to production requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
