We are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Press Brake Operator to join our growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Press Brake Operator at Daventry Metal Products Ltd, you will be responsible for operating our Bystronic press brake machines to produce high-quality component parts. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that production commitments are met and adhering to production schedules.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven experience in operating press brake machines
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience with Bystronic equipment is desirable but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail, methodical and precise work ethic
  • Ability to work unsupervised and maintain motivation
  • Flexibility in approach to work and shift patterns

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
  • Experience in operating press brake machinery and working with sheet metal
  • Ability to meet production deadlines and contribute to team targets
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and set Bystronic press brakes (80 to 150 tones) to meet production requirements
  • Perform general metalworking duties as needed, including rolling and forming
  • Work flexibly within the sheet metal team and assist with the Laser machine as required
  • Contribute to departmental output by working towards KPIs and production goals
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain quality control processes

  • Training: It is essential to participate in and take full advantage of training opportunities to maintain professional development.
  • Flexibility: You may be required to take on other reasonable tasks consistent with departmental objectives.
