Description

Our sheet metal fabrication company based in Nottingham require a press brake operator to join their team. As a press brake machine operator you will be required to operate the press brakes for various jobs, you will also be required to maintain the machine too.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday. Rotational shifts
06:00am - 14:00pm / 14:00pm - 22:00pm
1.5x pay after 40 hours
Shift allowance for afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC press brake machines (e.g. Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, etc.)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, bend allowances, and job specifications
  • Carry out first-off inspections and adjust settings as required to ensure quality
  • Work with various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and report any faults
  • Collaborate with team members and follow job schedules and priorities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in press brake operation and setup
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools (verniers, protractors, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of bend allowances, tooling, and material behaviour
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
