JOB SUMMARY:
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for accurately bending sheet metal parts using
CNC press brake machinery in accordance with engineering drawings and production
specifications. The role includes machine setup, operation, minor maintenance, and
quality inspection.
REQUIREMENTS:
Vocational diploma (DEP) in metal fabrication or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of experience operating press brakes.
Ability to read technical drawings and measure accurately.
Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a fabrication environment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Set up and operate CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic).
Select appropriate tooling and perform changeovers as needed.
Conduct first-off inspections and adjust settings for accuracy.
Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, angle gauges, etc.
Maintain clean and safe work area according to safety standards.
Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
