Position Summary: Responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment. The primary duty of a Press Brake Operator is to bend, shape, and form metal sheets or plates according to specific blueprints, drawings, or job instructions. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and set up press brake machines based on job requirements, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling. Adjust machine settings such as ram speed, back gauge position, and stroke length. Load and unload metal onto the press brake machine. Ensure proper material alignment and positioning. Inspect materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Qualifications and Requirements: Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in metal fabrication. Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints. Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements. Possess mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
