Thorn Baker are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established client in Nottingham for an experienced Press Brake Operator/Setter to join their production team.
Hours & Pay:
- Rotating 6:00am - 2:00pm/2:00pm - 10:00pm
- £13 - £17 p/h DOE + shift allowance
The Role:
As a Press Brake Operator/Setter, you’ll be responsible for the safe and accurate setup and operation of press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines
  • Interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Carry out routine checks on machinery and report faults
  • Ensure quality and consistency of parts produced
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

About You:

  • Proven experience operating and setting press brake machines
  • Already have at least basic knowledge of tooling sizes/types
  • Able to work with both offline/online programs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethics
