Description
In this role, you will: Operates valve and/or gear forge press. Performs minor maintenance/troubleshooting on machines. Keeps work area clean and free of hazards - housekeeping program. Follows organizations policies including safety, quality, as well as all other policies. Works with audit/quality control personnel to identify and troubleshoot quality problems. Performs set-up on presses for different valve/gear prints including changing tooling. Sorts valves, gears, and slugs for defects Adjusts machinery during changeover. Changes punches and dies as needed. Operates a forklift truck. Valve/Gear/Slug Auditing (Quality Control) Perform other incidental and related duties as required or assigned No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area (50 miles) of the Kearney, NE site will be considered for this High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Must have at least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience Position Criteria: Ability to setup machinery Ability to read process sheets. Visual inspection of cold and hot parts Ability to lift up to 50 LBS Repetitive motion; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations. Position requires exposure to graphite lube and heat. Must wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed/metatarsal shoes for entire shift Position may require daily overtime, 7 days a week and working holidays. Physical Demands: Physical requirements include constantly being on your feet, using a set of tongs to grab hot gears and perform quality checks. The employee would be working in extreme heat in the summer. When operating a manual press, the employee will be on their feet for their shift. Some walking required when completing change overs or tooling changes. Lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing, pulling when changing tooling.
