Description POSITION SUMMARY Operates press brake, plate roll, and related metal forming equipment to bend and shape steel plate into required forms for geotechnical equipment components. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and operate press brake machines to bend steel plate per specifications Operate plate rolling equipment to form cylindrical and conical shapes Read blueprints and forming diagrams to determine bend angles and radii Inspect formed parts for dimensional accuracy Change and maintain tooling and dies for press brake Safely handle and stage heavy steel plate using overhead crane or forklift Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED 2+ years press brake or plate forming experience Ability to read forming drawings Familiarity with plate rolling equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with CNC press brakes Crane operator certification Forklift certification PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Heavy lifting (team lifts for plate stock), prolonged standing, exposure to noise and metal. PPE required including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
