Basic Qualifications / Requirements: Basic shop math Ability to use precise measuring equipment Ability to operate standard tool room equipment Must be able to work without supervision Individual must be self-motivated Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to communicate well with others Ability to work overtime Individual must observe all safety regulations to ensure own and others’ safety Troubleshoot die / press related problems in a production environment Perform PM activities on stamping dies progressive and blanking. Press operations and ability to learn new processes Experienced and capable of operating an overhead crane Experience and capable of operating Forklift Preferred Experience: Maintaining progressive dies Operation of overhead crane Forklift operator Die steel welding is a plus Ability to read and interpret blue prints Operation of manual machine tools (lathe, milling machine, grinders, radial arm drill press) Die steel welding Troubleshooting -- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems and repair. Problem Solving -- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects from parts to improve die quality. Decision Making -- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Communicating -- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, or in person. Getting Information -- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources, able to read and understand prints. Must also be able to follow job instructions, comprehend specifications, and determine correct machine setup to achieve the correct final product. Must be able to use measuring tools and devices such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers Handling and Moving Objects -- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating machine operations.
