JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Pressure Testing Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our rigorous testing and assembly. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, as well as the ability to analyse data effectively.

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrable experience of fluid power / hydraulic / pneumatic technology and associated testing regimes
  • Demonstrable experience of hydrostatic, pneumatic, gas and cryogenic, high temperature testing.
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems and heavy duty rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment condition monitoring techniques.
  • Understanding of fire and gas detection and ESD systems.
  • Knowledge of electronic instrumentation, transducers, flow meters & Computer aided data collection.
  • Fully familiar with the permit to work system and isolation procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
    Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assemble customer equipment in line with engineering instruction.
  • Perform pressure testing on customer equipment in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Carry out gas testing / hydro testing up to 60,000 psi, hyperbaric testing and PR2 testing.
  • Perform single & twin ferrule tubing assembly for both test set ups and deliverable equipment.
  • Carry out plant & equipment maintenance in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
  • Fault finding and rectification of mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out break-down maintenance as required.
  • Perform MP & HP coning / threading applications / Small bore tubing (Pipe bending).
  • Torquing / bolting knowledge advantageous.
  • Perform detailed analysis of test results and document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance protocols in accordance with industry standards.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of testing procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in quality assurance and testing methodologies.
