Description Description In the role of Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Director and Maintenance office Manager in maintaining equipment and facilities within the Academy Mapleton Hill community (AMH). Track equipment age, service procedures, lifecycle, warranty information, and replacement schedules. Assist in developing long-term capital replacement plans. Creates SOPs for routine preventative maintenance equipment service Instructs Maintenance Technicians on proper service procedures Integrates building equipment with Maintenance Management Software (MMS) using QR code technology Monitors and adjusts the Building Automation System to optimize building functionality Maintains serviceable building equipment including MAUs, WCCUs, FCUs, EFs, Water heaters, and all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Performs daily walk of equipment to confirm normal operation Assists with the installation and set-up of new equipment Works with Facilities Director and Maintenance Office Manager to proactively order and stock preventative maintenance supplies Perform advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when necessary. Assist with the installation, commissioning, and startup of new building equipment. Train maintenance technicians on equipment operation, preventative maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Develop standardized maintenance procedures to improve consistency across the department. Assist with onboarding new maintenance employees. Requirements Desired Qualifications Possess a valid driving license Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Strong knowledge of safety procedures/regulations and use of personal protective equipment Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints Ability to work flexible hours, and occasional holidays, as required Ability to work on call and be available for emergency repairs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
The engineer is responsible for developing preventative maintenance schedules and maintaining building assets including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems. They will also create SOPs, train technicians, and optimize building functionality via the Building Automation System.
