Location Address: 15 Lightner Road, York, Pennsylvania 17404 Work Shift: 8hr-1st Shift (United States of America) Altium’s Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on all machinery and equipment in the manufacturing Plant. The primary goal of this role is to ensure optimal performance, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of all manufacturing equipment through proactive maintenance activities. • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment such as injection molding machines, extruders, blow molders, and auxiliary equipment. • Inspect and clean machinery components, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn-out parts as necessary. • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify potential issues. • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to detect signs of wear, malfunction, or inefficiencies. • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements. • Document any observed trends or recurring issues and report them to the preventive maintenance supervisor. • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety within the facility. • Suggest improvements to preventive maintenance procedures and practices to enhance efficiency and equipment performance. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to preventive maintenance. • Assist in managing spare parts inventory and order replacements as needed to ensure availability for timely maintenance. • Other duties as assigned. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics manufacturing. • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software. • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud. Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors. Proper use of PPE is required at all times. Physical Demands • Ability to perform standing job for 10 to 12 consecutive hours. • Remain stationary extended periods of time. • Move around production floor. • Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 pounds. • Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more. • Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during a consecutive 10 to 12-hour period.
