Description
The Opportunity   Primo is looking for a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team based in Wacol. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety and efficiency of our production lines through proactive, planned maintenance. Working primarily during scheduled downtime, you will help minimise breakdowns, improve equipment uptime and support continuous improvement across the site.   This role will be working 5:00am to 3:00pm, rostered for 4 days on, 1 off, 4 days on, 5 off, and offers a competitive salary with potential for overtime.   Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production lines to maximise equipment uptime and reliability Diagnose, troubleshoot and rectify electrical, control system, automation, pneumatic and hydraulic faults Maintain and support power distribution systems and production control systems Conduct routine inspections and identify potential failures before they impact production Respond to unexpected equipment issues or alarms during shift and carry out necessary fault finding and resets Proactively identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reduce downtime and enhance operational performance Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions What You'll Bring Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent) Experience in planned maintenance, breakdown and repair activities within an industrial, manufacturing or packaging environment Working knowledge of work orders, risk assessments, maintenance planning and scheduling, design solutions for capital projects Understanding of food safety, GMP and HACCP concepts Why Join Primo?   At Primo, we're committed to creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and connected.
